Lida Vets recognise that in a variety of ways, all businesses impact on the environment. Concerning our services and operations, we are committed to the improvement of our environmental performance.
Download our Environmental Policy here (PDF).
At Lida Vets, we are proud to have achieved the Investors in Environment (iiE) Bronze Accreditation.
We have recognised the following key green impacts associated with the delivery of veterinary care:
- Consumption of electricity, oil, gas and water
- Fleet mileage and diesel claims
- Use of volatile halogenated anaesthetic gases
- Waste disposal and production
- Recycling and re-using materials
- Transport of animals and personnel
- Procurement and supplies
We will continue to improve our environmental management system through annual reviews and updates, taking into account any changes with legislation, our organisation, and other factors. We will convey this policy to all Associates and make certain that they are provided with proper training to increase awareness of environmental matters.
The introduction and implementation of the Environmental Policy is a commitment of Lida Vets management and a shared responsibility with our Associates. Kerry Kerr has designated responsibility for the day-to-day implementation of this policy.
The policy will be reviewed annually as part of the organisation’s overall plan.
